Vaccinations

Vaccinations are a common requirement for all pets flying abroad, so it's important to be aware what might apply to your journey well in advance.

What vaccinations are required for my pet travel abroad?

Depending on the country your pet is travelling to depends on the vaccinations needed.

When arranging your pet's travel you should contact DEFRA who will be able to provide more information on the specific vaccinations requirements for your pet. FlyPets would also advise you to contact the authorities in your destination country to ensure any recent policy changes are accounted for. This will help ensure the swift and safe travel of your pet.

FlyPets are happy to assist all our customers in this process.

How soon should my pet by vaccinated before flying?

It is a good idea to keep your pet's vaccinations up to date regardless of whether the country of destination specifically requires them.

If required, Rabies vaccinations generally need to be done more than 30 days prior to your pet's travel. Other vaccination times will vary, so it is important to consult with both a vet and FlyPets before booking any flights for your pet's travel.
